內容簡介: 博客來網路書局What happens after a country splits apart？Forty-five years ago Singapore separated from Malaysia. Since then, the two countries have developed along their own paths. Malaysia has given preference to the majority Malay Muslims—the bumiputera, or 博客來網路書店sons of the soil. Singapore, meanwhile, has tried to build a meritocracy—ostensibly colour-blind, yet more encouraging perhaps to some Singaporeans than to others. How have these policies affected ordinary people？How do these two divergent nations now see each other and the world around them？

Seeking answers to these questions, two Singaporeans set off to cycle around Peninsular Malaysia, armed with a tent, two pairs of clothes and a daily budget of three US dollars each. They spent 30 days on the road, cycling through every Malaysian state, and chatting with hundreds of Malaysians. Not satisfi ed, they then went on to interview many more people in Malaysia and Singapore. is a senior editor with the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU). He comments on macroeconomic, political and business issues in Asia, and has written for a variety of publications, including The Economist and The Straits Times. Born in Singapore, he left after junior college and mandatory military service to study at Berkeley and 博客來書店Harvard. He returned home in 2005, where he lives with his wife and their two cats.

解決夏季滿臉油光 女性要扳回顏面

（中央社記者陳政偉台北11日電）夏季高溫，油脂分泌旺盛，臉上易泛油亮光澤，讓肌膚有光感柔嫩的錯覺，實際上外油中乾，藥妝通路提醒女性消費者，要注意保濕與控油，針對眼部周遭更要特別護理。

藥妝通路屈臣氏指出，肌膚水分過度散失而缺水時會自動分泌油脂，導致滿臉油光，唯有加強肌膚保濕，鎖住深層肌底水分，才能有效抑制出油，應了解自身膚質狀況，選擇保濕力較好的保養品和方法。

屈臣氏說，使用控油產品需先了解出油原因，若是過度清潔、用強力酸質成份抑制肌膚出油，反而有可能造成發炎、敏感。

康是美表示，全台開架面膜市場商機已超過新台幣23億元，推出自有面膜新品，使用法國不列塔尼海洋活水的礦晶能量與豐富微量元素，並採獨家臉型的三層水導膜設計，細緻貼合肌膚，累積至今銷售超過百萬片。

康是美也觀察到全台開架面膜市場每年成長超過1成，各品牌在面膜成分、功能、材質不斷進化，且以25歲以上女性客群為主，保濕及美白2大功能最受歡迎。

國內醫美保養品起家的歐漾國際，創立瑞士薇佳品牌，擁有醫美保養品系列，也有自己的生醫實驗室，原料全部來自法國和瑞士LS實驗室。

瑞士薇佳生醫實驗室研究指出，普通人每天眨眼近1萬次，每次眨眼就牽動22條肌肉的大量眼部動作，眼周肌膚因薄度僅0.5毫米，加上缺少脂質的保護，而最先顯現出老化痕跡。

瑞士薇佳指出，現代人用眼過度，不知不覺就會用力眨眼刺激淚液分泌，久了眼周就會開始產生皺紋；長時間待在冷氣房容易造成眼周肌膚乾燥、缺水產生小細紋；時常熬夜，導致血液循環不佳產生熊貓眼。

在眼周保養產品選擇上，因台灣屬海島型氣候，夏季潮溼悶熱，眼霜油脂過多反會造成肌膚悶感，瑞士薇佳建議選用清爽凝膠狀質地，以無名指輕點在眼周，從眼頭至眼尾單一方塗抹開，切記勿反覆搓揉而造成更多細紋。

另外，瑞士薇佳提醒愛保養的女性，眼周肌膚薄弱，要特別注意產品使用敏感問題，最好挑選無添加香精、人工色素、酒精及刺激性防腐劑的產品。1040811
